As a crucial element in a video, music plays a role to tell exciting stories without dialogue and inspired enthusiasm, excitement, or sadness successfully. It highlights the emotions throughout the videos and makes the videos more engaging.

Adjust the mix level.
If you are pleased with the music you added to the video, you can click “save” to wait for YouTube to process your video.
It sounds quite easy to add an audio track to YouTube video, right?
However, there are several limitations when it comes to YouTube’s video editor on adding music tracks to your youtube video.
We have to choose music from YouTube’s music library and most of the tracks if not all them are instrumental songs so they don’t actually have any lyrics. and then one of the biggest problems is that we can’t actually add our own audio within youtube’s video editor. More important is that it’s hard to find a piece of appropriate music to match the emotion of your video.
Don’t worry. We have an alternative way to eliminate this pain for most of you.
YouTube Movie Maker is an easy to use offline video editor that will allow us to add multiple audio tracks and our own custom songs to our video within a few clicks.
All we have to do is to free download it and follow the below steps.
Open “YouTube Movie Maker” and go to the “Make Videos” button.
Go to the “+” button to local upload the video you want to add music to from the files by clicking the “Add Video” in the selection bar.
Drag the video to the Video Line. You can right-click the video on the Video Line to edit it, such as split, adjust the play speed, cut, adjust the color, add transitions and so on.
Similarly, click “+” to “Add Audio” from your local files whatever it is but one without copyright.
Drag it to the Audio Line, and you can also right-click to split it, to cut it, and to change its volume, speed, channels, and even its audio pitch.
Go to the little “+” next to the Audio 0 in the left timeline bar. Click it to add more audio lines and you can add more audio tracks to your video. Different from YouTube Stadio Editor, this software allows you to add multiple audio tracks on the same audio line.
Click “YouTube Publish” button to enter the title, tags, description and select the category, privacy of your video. Then, you can click “OK” to directly upload the video to YouTube channel.
As I mentioned before, the music you add to your video can not have a copyright problem or you may get into trouble. But how to find free music? Actually, we’ve shared with you five ways to find copyright-free music a few months ago. Check them out if you need them.
Music is more powerful than you can imagine. It plays an important role in making a video for three reasons.
Music is emotional.
It creates a good mood and gives interested customers a positive feeling. It touches the audience, making the moving images more story-telling.
Music sends effective messages.
Use interesting music interventions to create little surprises that can make your audience laugh and even stimulate action.
Different instruments or instrument combinations can generate different effects on your video.
Music is memorable.
Use a particular tune for your video so your audience would directly think of you when they heard it. So music can quickly establish a connotation to your product or brand.
Consider what mood you want to create at which time point is a good start to find the right music. You can describe them as a specific word like funny, happy, playful, exciting… Don’t mix too many music styles in a video, only one or two will be fine.
- Set the mood with your music: The music sets your video’s tone, and the music matches your video’s tune, so choose music with an appropriate level depended on what you felt in your video.
- Pick an appropriate genre: Music shouldn’t dominate the video. It should assistant the video to keep your viewers at the moment.
- Carefully using lyrics with a voiceover: Only in one situation, we’ll choose music with lyrics. That is the lyrics can complement the theme and brand. If the video has a voiceover, instrumental music would be a better choice.
- Where to start and end your song: Most songs have a climax to them. When you hesitate to use which part of the music in your video, the climax is always the best option to highlight the key scenes.
